B4T held a very successful business training in Durban, South Africa. The business training focuses on topics like the Biblical foundation of business and entrepreneurship as a calling. After the first day of training, Reston (one of the participants) spoke to his pastor out of excitement to share what he is learning so far in the training. He said, “I will never do business the same again”.
With this training, participants were able to recognise the problems they have in their businesses and how to fix them moving forward. One of the commitments made by some participants was to start giving tithe from the profit of their businesses.
Not only did experienced businesspeople attend the training but there were also people who had the desire to start with their own businesses like Trisha who shared how she had the desire to start a catering business, but she could not because of a lack of funds. She was in the right company, they encouraged her not to give up based on their own personal experiences when they too started with their own businesses. She was given the advice to start cooking from home and avoid rented spaces.
On the last day of the training, she offered to cook for the participants and trainers together with a presentation of her Breyani and Bunnies (B&B) business plan synopsis. That was the start of her new dream, the same weekend she was asked by her church to cater for a pastor’s appreciation event in supporting her business. And now she started to receive orders and has put up a Facebook page.
